A quick over night trip to Kalamazoo to see the littlest Helner,
baby Anna.
Emma got little practice in baby holding in before her new brother comes, but I don't think she realized that real babies cry. It was great to meet little Anna (not as big as her birthday pictures made her look).

Pinckney Rec. Area - Camping

A week of "Pure Michigan" at the Pinckney Rec. Area.
Swimming, Campfires, and even a few water snakes... yikes!
Emma had a great time camping, and even got to see the movie UP on Thursday while the thunderstorms blew by.

E&E Engineering

Another Michigan based company has been lost to the current economic downturn. After 66 years of business supplying mechanical components as well as engineering and manufacturing services, E&E Engineering was forced to close this month.

As a design engineer I have used many of E&E Engineering's components on past and current jobs. When a place that makes a quality product can't survive in this economy it shows just how vulnerable we all are. I just want to devote this little space of the Internet to those people that have lost their jobs and livelihood.

Hopefully we don't loose too many more good businesses before things turn around.

Guys night at the ball park. Father's Day came early this year for Grandpa Jack.
Even though the Tigers lost, at least the 9th inning was interesting. Rodney was Rodney, kinda makes you long for the days of Todd Jones. :)
